Itinerary
DAY 1 : Arrival in Srinagar
Upon arrival in Srinagar, our representative will warmly greet you and transfer you to your hotel or houseboat. After some rest, you can either shop at the vibrant Srinagar bazaar or explore the city’s famous attractions. Visit the Mughal-era gardens, enjoy a 2-hour Shikara ride on the lotus-filled Dal Lake, or explore the serene Chashme Shahi.
In the evening, return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.
DAY 2 : Srinagar to Kargil via Sonamarg (201.5 km. / 5 hrs. 30 minutes, Height 2,676m)
Today, embark on a scenic road trip to Kargil via Sonamarg. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting off on your journey.
Sonamarg, also known as the "Meadow of Gold," offers a picturesque drive from Srinagar. The snow-covered mountains will accompany you throughout the journey, making it a memory to cherish. In Sonamarg, visit Vishansar Lake, Zoji La Pass, and Shutkari Bridge—each offering breathtaking views.
On your way to Kargil, stop at Drass Valley, historically significant as the site of the Kargil War. This is where the conflict between India and Pakistan took place, marking a place of sacrifice and bravery.
After completing a passport check, continue towards Kargil. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel, relax, and later enjoy a warm dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 3 : Kargil to Leh via Lamayuru (216.6 km. / 4 hrs. 41 minutes, Height 3,500m)
Today, embark on another scenic road journey as you head to Leh via Lamayuru. After breakfast, begin your drive and enjoy the stunning views along the way.
In Lamayuru, your first stop will be the Alchi Monastery, a serene Buddhist complex located in a small village. Alchi is the oldest monastery in the region, renowned for its traditional Tibetan architecture.
Next, visit Moonland, a unique and mesmerizing landscape along the Leh–Kargil road. If time allows, explore the Lamayuru Monastery, famous for its intricate murals, frescoes, and paintings that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Upon reaching Leh, check in to your hotel, unwind, and enjoy a delicious dinner before your overnight stay.
DAY 4 : Sightseeing in Leh
On Day 4, start your day with a healthy breakfast at the hotel, followed by a sightseeing tour of Leh.
Your first stop will be Diskit Gompa, the oldest and largest monastery in the region. Perched on a mountain slope, it offers stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
Next, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist monument famous for its white dome. The stupa enshrines sacred relics of Buddha and is known for its impressive architecture.
Continue to Leh Palace, also called Lhachen Palkhar. Built in the 17th century, it is a major attraction in the area. Don’t miss the museum within the palace, which showcases the rich cultural history of Leh.
In the evening, return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful night’s sleep.
DAY 5 : Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (160.3 km. / 4 hrs. 43 minutes, Height 10,000m)
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before setting off towards Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass.
At Khardungla, enjoy the breathtaking views and take a memorable camel ride. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks, it’s the perfect backdrop for some unforgettable photos. Spend some time soaking in the scenery before continuing your road trip to Nubra Valley.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Afterward, head out for your sightseeing tour.
The first stop is a Bactrian Camel Ride at Hunder village. Known for their two humps, these camels offer a unique and fun experience. While in Hunder, take some time to explore the village as well.
Next, visit the Panamik Hot Springs, renowned for their medicinal properties. Many visitors travel here for its therapeutic benefits, but note that a permit is required for entry.
DAY 6 : Nubra to Pangong via Shayok River (140 km. / 6 hours, Height 4,250m)
After breakfast at your hotel in Nubra Valley, embark on a scenic road trip to Pangong Lake via Shayok River.
One of the highlights of Shayok Lake is its crystal-clear waters, fed by the high-altitude Rimo Glacier. Take some time to relax by the lake, enjoying the peace and quiet—perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of city life.
Continue your journey to Pangong Lake, and upon arrival at your campsite, settle in and rest. The evening is free for leisure, allowing you to take in the natural beauty of the area. In the evening, enjoy a warm, hearty dinner before retiring for an overnight stay at the campsite.
DAY 7 : Pangong to Leh (222.9 km. / 5 hrs, 22minutes, Height 3,500m)
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on your drive from Pangong to Leh as part of your Jeep Safari tour.
Upon reaching Leh, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax. Afterward, you can either enjoy a leisurely stroll through the local bazaar or visit some of the region's famous attractions, such as the 3 Idiots School and the serene Thiksey Monastery.
In the evening, return to your hotel for a warm dinner and a restful overnight stay.
DAY 8 : Leh to Jispa (334.5 km. / 8 hrs, 56minutes, Height 3,200m)
After breakfast at the hotel in Leh, begin your journey to Jispa. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take a brief rest before starting your sightseeing tour.
Your first stop in Jispa will be Suraj Tal Lake, also known as the "Lake of the Sun God." As the third-highest lake in India, it’s a stunning sight and a must-visit destination. You can also explore nearby monasteries and spend time interacting with the locals to learn about the region's rich culture.
In the evening, return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 9 : Departure from Manali
After breakfast at the hotel in Jispa, begin your journey to Manali, marking the end of your Jeep Safari tour from Srinagar – Leh Ladakh – Manali. Upon arrival in Manali, you will be escorted to the airport for your return journey back home.
