Itinerary

DAY 1 : Arrival In Manali and drive to Sarchu (222 km, 8 hours approx. drive)

Upon your arrival in Manali, our representative will welcome you and assist with your transfer to Sarchu. The journey begins early in the morning, taking you through some of the most scenic routes of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.

Sarchu, set at an altitude of 4,290 metres between the Baralacha La Mountains in the south and Lachulung La in the north, is a stunning destination for adventure enthusiasts. Known for its serene landscapes and camping opportunities, Sarchu offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility.

Your drive from Manali to Sarchu passes over the famous Rohtang La Pass at 13,398 feet. After approximately 5 hours, you will reach Keylong, where a pit stop is planned for lunch. If you prefer to start early without stopping, you may carry a packed lunch from your hotel and skip the Keylong stop.

Continue your journey through picturesque landscapes until you reach Sarchu. On arrival, check in at your camp or hotel and relax. Enjoy the calm and scenic surroundings before settling in for an overnight stay at Sarchu, ready for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2 : Sarchu to Leh (3445 meters, 251 km., 8 to 9 hours drive)

After breakfast, check out from your camp or hotel in Sarchu and start your early morning drive to Leh. The route takes you through the stunning Lachulung La Pass, situated at an altitude of 5,065 meters, offering panoramic views of rugged mountains and breathtaking landscapes.

A pit stop for lunch is planned at Pang, where the terrain between Lachulung La and Pang displays a dramatic mix of colors—from white and brown to black, yellow, and even pink at times. The Lachulung River flowing alongside adds to the scenic charm of the route.

As you continue, keep an eye out for marmot colonies on the More Plains, a mesmerizing 45 km stretch filled with natural beauty. Next, you will cross Tanglang La Pass, the second-highest motorable road in the world, at 5,350 meters, making the journey truly adventurous.

Next, head to Shanti Stupa, also known as the Japanese Peace Pagoda.
